Facing Fears

The Stratosphere. One hundred and eight stories high. Did I mention I’m afraid of heights?

I want to travel the world and draw my own conclusions about life and culture and I want this to be my first step. I faced my fear of heights, sort of, in Las Vegas, Nevada. What’s next?

This “series”, if you will, is going to be my travel journal for all of the world to see. I think this is a good way to share what I’ve learned and what you can accomplish with determination and a broad imagination.

What I’ve learned from this experience is you sometimes have to face your fears to find beauty. If I had let my fear of heights pull me down and keep me from going 108 stories high, I wouldn’t have seen such an amazing view. It was beautiful. The sun had just dove down, under the horizon. The sky was painted a mixture of beautiful blues and fluorescent oranges. Sadly, I had a horrible camera and I’m saving up for a better one, but I think it was for the best because instead of seeing this magnificent sight through a camera lens, I got to live in the moment and see it with my own eyes.

So, in the words of Sara Bareilles, “I want you to be brave”. Comment down below something that scares you and then, if it’s possible, do something to change that. Live life without limits. Don’t let your irrational mental blockades keep you from seeing the world.

Don’t forget to like, comment, and click subscribe. I post every Saturday and sometimes I surprise you, like today.

Stay Strong. Stay Beautiful.
