In my APA Psychology writing class, we had two two-minute intervals to do a creative writing exercise.
The first time, we had to write with a partner. The second was alone.
Each time, I wrote half of a page.
When we went around the room to share, everyone was confused at the length of each of my exercises and my professor explained that some writers can enter into this “stream of consciousness” which allows them to write without thought.
I want to share them both with you.
